Hi. My name is Keiko W. Let me introduce about myself.
I like music very much. I prefer listening to music more than singing music, because I cannot sing very well.When I was in high school, I always listen to Avril Lavigne’s songs.I love her so much! She is so cute! I sometime listen to her songs recently, too.But now, my favorite singer is Miliyah Kato.She is the same age as me. I had been to her concert twice. She writes her songs herself. She is singing about our troubles, friendships and loves.She is feeling many emotions as she is just a girl.I like her so much and I want you to listen to her songs! I like Amuro Namie, too. She is thirty years old but she looks young and she is so beautiful. Her performance is so great! She can dance very well and her songs are really cool! I went to her concert and I enjoyed the good quality. My hobby is watching ballet.It is not only stages, but also videos.Have you ever watched ballet? I want to recommend it to you as a healing.When I am watching ballet, my mind is at peace.Especially, I like “LA BAYADERE” performed by Paris Opera Ballet.It is so gorgeous!! When I watch the stage for the first time, I was struck dumb with astonishment.They were dancing so beautiful with great art.I want to tell all people about this delight.　I will tell you about my life in Japan. I go to school every weekday for class. I can get to school in 10 minutes from my house. It is a good point for me. I am joining a club. The name is “Kadobu.” It means “Flower arrangement club.” I am a leader of this club now. I am enjoying with my special companions. I love all of the members! We could see new friends last week. Twenty freshmen joined our clubs. I was so glad! We are going to enjoy our school life together! I have a part-time job. I work at a coffee shop in downtown. It takes twenty minutes to go there by bicycle from my house. I have been working there over a year. I will continue working at the coffee shop and I want to carry on this life style. Do you have a hobby? How is your life in America?Please tell me about yourself.

BR12 The Enormous Turnip

I read a book for my book review. The story is very famous. A farmer tugged a big turnip. And his wife helped him. And her son, Jack, helped them. And his dog helped them. And a cat helped them. At last, a bird helped them. The bird pecked the cat's tail. The cat bit the dog's tail. The dog pulled Jack's shirt. Jack helped his mother's skirt. She hugged the farmer. The farmer grabbed the turnip and everybody tugged. Finally, the enormous turnip popped out! And they felt happy! But, they had to eat every morning, every lunch and every diner the turnip. So the farmer decided that he will grow carrots.

It is funny story and I like this story. Because the picture is cute and the ending is unique.(132words:9507words)

BR11 The Goose that laid the Golden Eggs

This is a story about moral. There are a collection of short stories first told in Ancient Greece around 4000 years ago.In this story, there were a husband and a wife in small cottage. His name was Tom and her name was Elena. They were so poor but they lives with happiness. They did not think that they were not happy. They had everything they needed. They had hens and geese for eggs. They had a garden for vegetables. They had a goat for milk. One morning, Tom found a golden egg. He sold that and he got much money! He bought an expensive dress for Elena. But she wanted him to save the money. But, another morning he found a golden egg, too. And then, they got it a day. They got big house and new clothes. They would be change with their heart. One day, they thought that they could get many golden eggs at once after killing the goose. They did it. But in the goose, there were no golden eggs. And they became poor again. They have never found the golden eggs after that.
I got interested in these short stories. It is so good for children to make moral I think, too. (208words:9375words)

I read a story about "dream".In toad's dream, he was a performer on a stage and he was wearing a costume.Frog was sitting on the theater.Toad did many wonderful performances; play the piano, walk on a high wire and dance.Whenever Toad did great performance, he boasted to Frog. Then Frog became smaller and smaller.Finally, Frog faded away.Toad noticed that his unkind behavior made this problem. He searches his soul.He said to Frog please came back, I will be lonely.At the time, Frog called Toad and said that I am here.Toad was delighted to know that these happenings were in his dream.After that, they went for a walk well together.(119 words:9167words)

Coming of Age Day

I was sick 12th January. I got influenza the day before The Coming of Age Day. I could not go the ceremony and I could not go alumni association at the night. I had a 9 degree. I was soooo sad!I did my own Coming of Age Day last Sunday with my parents. I went to my grandmother’s house with them and I took picture with her. I went to Kato Shrine with my father and mother and we wished the happiness this year. I was sick the end of the year day and New Year's Day. I had been sick almost days of last a month. So I bought in Kato Shrine a talisman for health.I would like to be happy and healthy in 2009.(128words:9048words)

In Minnesota4

Hi! Today, I am going to talk about my friend in Minnesota. I have been friend with Ai before I had been to America. But I got a lot of friends in my trip to Minnesota. I will introduce my friends!Keishi was our leader. He was little selfish and he was little strange. But he was good leader I think. He made us laugh and he was always thinking about us...maybe. Yuhei was so kind man. He was very gentle and he was good son for his host mother. He had only one host family and his host mother love him. She felt that Yuhei was her real son I think. I like his host mother. She has kind heart. She was always kind for not only Yuhei but also us. Maybe all of us like his host mother. And I like Yuhei so much. I know him when I was junior high school student. We were same junior high school. But we were in different class. So we had never talked there. And, we were in same high school, too. We were in Kumamoto Gakuen University Fuzoku High School. And in this school, we were not in same class, too. But I knew him because he got tall in high school. When he was junior high school student, he was so small. However, he would be tall good boy speedy. It was amazing for me. Ayako is so funny girl. I think she is strange still now. But when she was in Minnesota, she did bad or funny things almost everyday. She was mood maker for us. We love her and we like to talk with her. She always says mysterious things. And her host mother was sooooo kind!! Her name is Veronica. We were surprised at her kindness to Ayako. She was so lucky girl! Ayako said that she did not have her comfortable place in Japan so she did not would like to go back to Japan. She often talked to Veronica that she will back to Minnesota in this winter. But of course she did not. Yuki is my new friends in this program. I did not know her when we alive at the U.S. I got a sick first day and she talked to me “Are you all right, Keiko?" I was grad to hear that words and we would be friend soon. She looks so clever but she is little unique. She had one host family, too. Her host mother was a teacher in private school. She was so serious and she spoke English very very fast. I was amazing. Yuki often said" I could not understand her English but I may be able to make sense what she tells." Her host mother is vegetarian so she always ate vegetable. Ai is my special friend. I like her so much. She has good skill of communication. She is able to talk with everyone. She has positive thinking and negative thinking. She always understands her own idea. She has imagination. But she did misunderstand often. It was funny. My host mother like her because she speak to them friendly. We went to school together every morning. The reason why Ai and I went to school together was we were in same town. We went to the church by Alaina or Suzan's car and we rode on the ban. It was alike LOVEWAGON in Ainori. We got　on the ban with student from Rikkyo last few weeks. It would be good memory for us. Keishi, Yuhei, Ayako, Yuki, Ai, and I were always together in Minnesota. We made special memories and we could made good friend ship. In Minnnesota 3

Hi! Today, I am going to talk about my funny memories in Minnesota. I did make concrete with my host family and their family. Most of them were man but I and my host mother Alaina and her sister Emily joined their hard work. And another day, I rode a jet ski!! Of course it was my first time for me. It was so fun! First, I rode on a swimming ring it was connected with Jet Ski. I was little scared but I felt fun!! I was so exited!! Next, I rode on the seat of Jet Ski with Alaina. She drove and I rode behind her. She did strange driving. She was challenger so she did dangerous driving. First day, I did not drive by myself because I could not make decision. Next day, I tried driving!! Sooooo fearful it was! However, it was too fun!! I could go where I would like to go. And I did some jump and I turned many times. I thought that many families in Minnesota have Jet Ski or like that. It was so good for their children to become familiar to water; see and lakes and so on. Have you ever did jet ski? I want you to ride some day!Next, I did shoot real guns!! I was afraid of guns. My host mother's dad has a lot of guns in his secret room. On 17the August, Alaina and Derek and Emily took me to their gun shooting place because It was my last weekend in Minnesota in this program. They thought that I should to go through American original experience. We went to there by one car. It took about two hours to reach there. We went to nice hamburger restaurant on that way. We ate a lot and all of us drunk a smoothie chocolate drinks. I forgot the name of the drink but it was so popular on the U.S. I think.I did shooting by myself. It was so fearful and the sound was too big! So we put on each ears ear caver to protect ears. We drew some paintings on the board. These were the target. The first time I shoot, I was jump back because of a impact of the gun. I was surprised the power of gun’s impact. I could got fake roon ;> And I thought that they were so cool when they were aiming their target. After shooting, we went to the lake and play their. Then we went to the little forest and we climbed a tower. We looked down the city. When the wind taught my face on the tower, I remembered the nature and people and everything of Minnesota. It was good place for me. I would like to go there again.(466words:8297words)
